Children’s Dentistry

Children’s dentistry, also known as pediatric dentistry, is a specialised area of dentistry that focuses on the dental needs of children from infancy through adolescence.

Our pediatric dentists provide a range of services, including preventative care such as regular check-ups, cleanings, and fluoride treatments, as well as treatments for dental issues such as cavities and tooth decay. They also monitor the development of children’s teeth and jawbones, and may recommend orthodontic treatments when necessary. Our pediatric dentists are trained to work with children and make their dental visits a positive experience. They provide education on oral hygiene and diet to help children maintain good oral health habits for a lifetime.

Good to know

The first teeth erupt at about 6 months, although some babies don't get their first tooth until 14 months. Most children have 20 primary teeth by age 3.

Early dental checkups will help your child feel comfortable at the dentist and have a proper oral care routine. In addition to detecting cavities and other problems, we'll teach you proper oral hygiene procedures for the healthy development of permanent teeth.

Who needs it ?

Children’s dentistry is essential for children to establish good oral health habits early on and maintain healthy teeth and gums. Children should start seeing a dentist as soon as they have teeth, and continue with regular checkups and cleanings throughout their childhood. Pediatric dentists can provide specialised care for children’s dental needs.
